Johnian has in him the ability to leave a Mark in different fields, some way or the other. However it is not easy to recollect the exploits of all, while the memory tends to fade with passage of over half a century. BUT DO YOU KNOW?? a) That Rev. T . D SULLEY & CANNON DAVIS our Principals drew just Re ONE from their monthly salaries and the rest was donated to the College Library. b) The Principals official car, an AUSTIN –B, Touring Body of 20’s vintage, continued in his service even after the city was flooded with new Chevorlets and fords etc, as he discarded all suggestion for a change. It surely symbolized his identity and entity where ever he went. c) St John’s “Colours” were indeed rare. The cloth for the blazer, the dark Red and Black stripes, was the same as that of the Cambridge university. It thus had to be specially imported for use.
